How Ressio To-Do Lists work

Most task tools are built for office workers. Ressio to-do lists are built for job sites — fast to create, easy to assign, and always tied to a real project.

Tied to a project, not floating in the void.

Every to-do you create lives on a specific project. When you pull up a job, you see the open tasks for that job — not a global list you have to filter through. Your super knows exactly what's left on their site. You know exactly what's left on every site.

  • Attach any task to a project in two taps
  • Filter open tasks by project, assignee, or due date
  • Archive completed tasks without deleting the record
  • See all overdue tasks across your portfolio at a glance

Assign it. Own it. Close it out.

A task without an owner is just a wish. Assign every to-do to a team member or subcontractor. They get notified. You see when it's marked done. No more wondering whether the inspector callback happened or the window supplier got a return call.

  • Assign to any team member or sub in your account
  • Automatic notification when a task is assigned to you
  • One-tap completion from the mobile app on site
  • Reassign instantly if the original owner is unavailable

Punch lists that actually get punched.

The final stretch of a job is the most expensive place to lose track of tasks. Build your punch list directly in Ressio, assign each item to the trade responsible, and close them out one by one. Client walkthroughs become sign-offs, not surprises.

  • Create punch list items during walkthrough from your phone
  • Assign each punch item to the responsible sub
  • Track completion status before the owner walkthrough
  • Export the closed punch list for your project record

Works the same on mobile as it does on desktop.

Your super isn't sitting at a desk. Ressio to-do lists load fast on any phone, work in the field, and sync in real time. Create a task at 7am on site and your office sees it before the first coffee is done.

  • Full to-do list access on iOS and Android
  • Create, assign, and complete tasks from the field
  • Real-time sync — no refresh required
  • Works on low-bandwidth job site connections

Up and running in minutes

01

Open a project and add tasks.

Pull up any active project and hit New Task. Give it a name, a due date, and an assignee. That's it. The task is live and the assignee is notified.

02

Your team works the list in the field.

Assigned team members see their open tasks on the Ressio mobile app. They check off items as they go. You watch the list shrink in real time from anywhere.

03

Close the job with a clean record.

Every completed task is timestamped and stored on the project. You have a full trail of what was done, who did it, and when — right alongside your daily logs and documents.

Works with the rest of your Ressio workflow

To-do lists connect directly to the tools you already use inside Ressio. When a task comes out of a daily log entry, an RFI, or a schedule item — it stays linked.

What builders say

Before Ressio, I had a whiteboard, a notes app, and a pile of sticky notes. Now I open one screen and I know exactly what's unfinished on every job. It sounds simple because it is simple.

Derek Olson

Owner, Olson & Jones Construction

Punch lists used to be the worst part of closing out a job. Now I build the list during the walkthrough on my phone and assign everything before I leave the driveway. Subs get notified and we're done in half the time.

C

Carla Mendez

Project Manager, Ironstar Builders

My guys are in the field all day. They're not going to log into some complicated system. Ressio to-dos are fast enough that they actually use it. That's what matters.

Frequently asked questions

The schedule tracks your sequenced work — framing, rough-in, drywall, the phases that drive your timeline. To-do lists are for the quick items that don't have a duration: call the inspector, order the missing hardware, follow up on the RFI. Both live on the same project so nothing gets siloed.

Yes. Any sub or vendor in your Ressio account can receive task assignments. They get an email notification and can mark the task complete from their phone without needing a full Ressio login. You see the completion timestamp on your end.

To-do lists are fully functional in the Ressio mobile app on iOS and Android. You can create, assign, complete, and view tasks from the field. Changes sync in real time across all devices on the account.

Absolutely — it's one of the most common use cases. Create a task for each punch item during your owner walkthrough, assign it to the responsible trade, and track completion before you hand over keys. The completed punch list stays on the project record.

Yes. Every task can have an optional due date. Overdue tasks show up highlighted so nothing ages unnoticed. You can filter your task view by due date to see what's coming up across all your active jobs.

Completed tasks are archived on the project with a timestamp and the name of whoever closed them out. They don't clutter your open task view, but you can pull them up anytime for your project record or if a question comes up later.

There's no limit. Some builders run 200-item punch lists through Ressio on large custom homes. The list stays organized by assignee, due date, and completion status regardless of how many items are on it.

Ressio flags overdue tasks in your dashboard so you always see what's past due across your jobs. You can also filter by overdue status to make your morning review fast. Assignee notifications fire at the time of assignment so expectation-setting happens upfront.

Stop losing track of the small stuff.

The tasks that don't make the schedule are the ones that delay your close-out. Ressio to-do lists keep every loose end assigned, tracked, and closed.
